Postgraduate studies

Hi classmates:

In this post I will tell you about the idea that I have for my future studies. My interest areas in geography are related with the physical environment and how this conditions the biological environment. For this, I think study a postgraduate course related to ecology or microbiology area, specially because my tesis project is focused in the study of a microscopical specie of microalgae, called diatoms. I would like to study a related course in Chile, but this species have not been very studied in Chile from the geography, only for biologists. But this microalgae can serve to evaluate parameters of interest for geographical studies about environment impact, water quality of rivers and lakes, and the paleoenviromental conditions of a specific territory. For this reason I think study a postgrade in Porto University or in Buenos Aires University, that teaches biological posgrade courses that admite geographers, and not only biologists as the most universities. The idea is to build the way. Complete or part-time, this depends of the moment that this can result. Today, I hope that this dreams will real, but for now I'm focus in my tesis project and learn more about this microalgae, their classifications and the enviromental conditions for their develop in the different climatic contexts.
